George Slater (otherwise Shrimpson, otherwise Castle, otherwise Lamb) and John Collins (otherwise Lovell) found guilty of stealing a black gelding (valued at £3), the property of John Easy, in the parish of Ashwell on 4th February 1738.  Slater was also sentenced to death for stealing a brown bay gelding (valued at £5), the property of Joseph Read, in the parish of Weston on 23rd October 1737.
